“To-Read” List

Hello readers! Today I’ve noticed for the first time that every time I come across a book I want to read I write it on a piece of paper and, well, forget about it. I found 37 of these notes. Some of the books I’ve already read, but some are still waiting for me to find them!  So, I decided that it would be smarter to make an organized list!

The thing is, I rarely find these books when I need them (Murphy’s law, I know) so if I find a book from this list, I’ll mark the name and if it is any good I’ll write a post about it!

  • Marley & Me – John Grogan
  • the girl who loved tom gordon – Stephen King
  • the invisible man – H.G. Wells
  • Emma – Jane Austen
  • Big Girls Don’t Cry – Francesca Clementis
  • clockwork orange - Anthony Burgess
  • Lolita - Vladimir Nabokov
  • Memoirs of a Geisha - Arthur Golden
  • The Alchemist - Paulo Coelho
  • A Tale of Two Cities - Charles Dickens
  • The Picture of Dorian Gray – Oscar Wilde
  • The Glass Castle -  Jeannette Walls
  • Five Quarters of The Orange – Joanne Harris
  • The Hand that First Held Mine – Maggie O’Farrell
  • Angela’s Ashes – Frank McCourt
  • The Curse of a Mind – Destiny Booze

If you have any suggestions for me, I’ll be glad to hear!

I really enjoyed “pride and prejudice” and “northenger abbey”, and I’m a bit worried that “Emma” won’t be as interesting as the others. but I’ll never know unless I try :)

    Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier
One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez

Just had to add two greats to your list. I have Memoirs of a Geisha on the shelf waiting. I’ve tried to read Lolita, but Humbert Humbert makes me sick, which means Nabokov is a really good writer, or perhaps because having two teen daughters I am affected by pedophiles in this way. Anyway, thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. Keep in touch about books any time…I am a book fanatic myself.
